杂志以面向三农、服务小康、帮您创业、助您致富为宗旨,主要宣传农业新政策,传播农业新信息,推广农业新技术,展现农村新面貌,是广大读者一看就懂、一学就会、一用就灵的通俗读物,是开眼界、长知识、学本事的科普课堂;是国家新闻出版总署推荐的《农家书屋》重点期刊。读者定位为:农村基层管理干部,农业技术推广人员,种养专业户和农民。
