An investigation on the effects of NaCl on adsorption of Hg2+ in Wanshan,Shiqian,Songtao,Dejiang and Jiangkou in Guizhou Province was carried out using isothermal adsorption and kinetic experiment. The results showed that the adsorption behaviour of Hg2+ was different when NaCl was carried into solution. In the mixed soil,NaCl enhanced Hg2+ adsorption obviously when the concentration of Hg2+was lower than 3.00 mg/L.The reduced effect was influenced by different contamination of NaCl.The addition of NaCl made the max adsorption of Hg2+ decreased 63.64%.The desorption rate of Hg2+was changed by the addition of NaCl.The rate of Hg2+ was between 3.31% and 6.78% in 0.01 mol/L KNO3 solution, but it was between 21.5% and 47.3% in 0.01 mol/L KNO3+NaCl solution. The results of kinetic experiment showed that the characteristics of Kinetics equation of mercury adsorption were above 0.9 and the process of adsorption was different. The mobility of mercury was increased by NaCl and it could brought Hg2+ moving.
