摘  要：
本文概述了榆树疏林的生态地理规律、群落的结构和组成特点;初步探讨了榆树疏林对维持温带草地生态区域生物多样性的意义和生态作用;提出了用人工林群落取代榆树疏林群落在经济与生态意义上值得商榷的观点,指出对榆树疏林在维持草地生态区域生物多样性方面的价值应给予重视和研究,并建立高等级自然保护区。

摘  要：
This paper summarized the eco-geographical law of the elm woodlands, and discussed preliminarily significance and ecological role in maintaining the biodiversity of temperate grassland eco-regions. The opininon was put forwards which the way to substitute the elm woodlands with artificial forests was worth deliberating. It was proposed that the values of the woodlands in protecting the biodiversity of temperate grassland eco-regions should be thought highly of and studied, and some high-ranking nature reserves should be set up.
