Investigation on Community Eco-Compensation of POTATSO National Park

Conflict between protected area and communities is generally in developing countries,which enables community eco-compensation to become an unavoidable subject in the management of protected area.Based on field survey,the overall situation of community eco-compensation of POTATSO National Park was analysed from two aspects: eco-compensation mechanism and recipientsperception.The investigation generalized the experience of community eco-compensation of POTATSO National Park that merit for reference,such as fund channel,compensating method and compensating intensity.Yet there still are some obvious faultiness such as policy idea,system design,and enforcement mechanism.Overall,community eco-compensation of POTATSO National Park has played a major role in coordinating the interests between community and POTATSO National Park,which received the general support of residents.But the current eco-compensation hasnt perform its due function in encouraging the ecological conservation and construction action of local people,the practical effect is still superficial and hasn't probed into the essence of ecological compensation.
