摘 要：
隐喻是一种常见的语言表达形式 ,是一种人们熟知的生动语体。但由于隐喻的意义取决于词汇的创造性运用 ,且有赖于一定的想象力和具体的语境 ,这给准确理解英语隐喻句子造成了一定的困难。对英语隐喻的理解及其教学作了探讨 ,希望对学习者和教师起到借鉴作用。

摘 要：
Metaphor is a common figurative expression in communication. As its meaning depends on the creative use of the words, and the word usage depends on certain imagination and concrete language situations, it brings some difficulties to learners' understanding. As dealing with the understanding and teaching of the metaphor, it might be of some help to EFL learners and teachers.
