The effects of flumorph on growth of Xenopus laevis(from 46/47 stage to 65/66 stage) were studied within twenty weeks.some development indexes were examined, including tadpole living ratio, body weight, trunk length and tail length, developmental malformation and gander. The results showed that Xenopus laevis were sensitive to environment when metamorphosis came. The Xenopus laevis by flumorph treated concentration increasing compared with a control group treated with water and with acetone, the time of metamorphism climax was prolong, control group treated with water, acetone and e2,time is(14.86±2.79),(13.56±2.7),(18.75±4.58) days, time of flumorph treatments are(16.00±2.31),(16.33±2.66),(17.20±4.82),(17.50±4.24) days respectively.it is showed that body weight reducing, body length and tail length shorter, teratogenicity rate increasing, living rate, metamorphism success rate falling and flumorph had no effects on gander development.
