The abuse of antibiotics leads to the disorder of intestinal flora and the generation of drug resistance in livestock and poultry, and causes environmental pollution at the same time. Therefore, improving the intestinal health of livestock and poultry is an important method to improve the production efficiency of breeding industry, and it is also the key research direction of the industry at present. Mannose oligosaccharides as a feed additive can promote intestinal health by influencing intestinal morphology, the bacteria community structure and microbial diversity of the host; stimulate the secretion of intestinal mannose binding protein to bind with pathogens, and play a role of phagocytosis; stimulate the secretion of cell factor by macrophage, promote T cell proliferation & differentiation, thereby enhance the body's immune function. In this paper, the mechanism of mannan oligosaccharides regulating intestinal health was reviewed to provide a reference for its application and promotion in livestock and poultry production.
