文献中关于牛、羊、猪等家畜听觉器官的资料很少,有些也非常简略。从生物学和兽医学的发展以及临床需要来看,这部分工作有必要尽早补充。为了避免一般概括性描述,同时指出不同家畜中耳部的结构特点,这次在解剖过程中,尽可能与马作了比较观察。本文完全是牛的材料。关于马的部分,除根据过去已有文献外,主要是以本刊七卷二期发表的“马骨性外耳道及中耳结构”的材料作为依据进行比较。

摘  要:
1. The inner third of the meatus acusticus externus osseus of the ox bends ventrolaterally about 30 degrees. The cavity of the tympanic part of the meatus acusticus externus, being similar to that of the horse, is a narrow cleft. 2. The diameter of the membrana tympani of the ox is about 10mm. The position of the attachment of the manubrium mallei to the membrana tympani is on a line in the anterior part of the membrane, while in the horse, the attaching line is in the middle. 3. The recessus epitympanicus in the ox situates at the dorsal aspect of the inner end of the meatus acusticus externus, while in the horse it lies medially to the inner end of the said structure. 4. The Fenestra vestibuli and Fossula fenestrae vestibuli are smaller than the Fenestra cochlae and its Fossula in the ox, but in the horse the latter structures are smaller. 5. The manubrium and the three processes of the malleus in the ox are better developed than those of the horse. Only the capitulum mallei of the ox is somewhat smaller than that of the horse. 6. The n. tympanicus, n. tensoris tympani and n. chorda tympani run backward from their origins to the tympanic cavity, then innervate the organs within the cavity. The n. stapedius arises from a plexus on the surface of the facial nerve and immeidately enters into the muscle. 7. The tympanic part of the nerve Chorda tympani of the ox lies ventrally to the Processeus musculari of malleus, but in the horse it passes dorsally across the same processus.
