Sheep Diagnosis of Oral Cavity Mucous Membrane Canker Diseases in Grazed Sheep in Haibei of Qinghai Province

The clinical symptoms,the anatomical changes and the histopathological lesions were observed in the natural sick sheep and sheep fed with forage containing Gynaephora menyuanensis to find out the causing factors of oral cavity mucous membrane canker diseases in grazed sheep in Haibei,Qinghai province.The results showed as follows,clinical symptoms included sialorrhea,poor appetite,dysforaging,and ulcer in oral lip,gum and lingual surface of sheep.Pathological lesions included athrepsy,dystrophy,and mucous membrane inflamation in lingual surface and gum.Mucous of lingual surface and muscle of tongue were injuried by some corpus alienums with barbs,and lots of lymphocytes,epithelioid cells and multinucleatd giant cells were found around these corpus alienums.These corpus alienums had the same morphous with the villi of Gynaephora ruoergensis.According to all these appearances mentioned above,Gynaephora ruoergensis and its ecdysis in forage led to oral cavity mucous membrane canker diseases in sheeps in Haibei,Qinghai province.
