摘 要：
晚清时期是中国传统农业向近代农业转变的重要历史时期。大力发展农业教育,兴办农事试验场,成为这一时期农业改良方面的显著特点。在张之洞等人的积极倡导和推动下,随着西方农学思想逐步传播、发展,作为当时政治经济和文化重镇,武汉地区农业科教事业得到一定程度发展,特别是湖北农务学堂、湖北省农事试验场、南湖蚕桑试验场等的设立,为之后湖北乃至中南地区的农业科学研究与教育的发展奠定了坚实的基础。

摘 要：
The late Qing Dynasty is an important period for the transition of traditional agriculture to modern agriculture. In this period, the agricultural education was started to develop and agricultural experimental stations were established across China. With the spread of western agronomy concept, Zhidong Zhang promoted the agricultural research and education in Wuhan district. The establishment of Hubei Agricultural School, Hubei Agricultural Experimental Station and Nanhu Silkworm and Mulberry Experimental Station laid a solid foundation for the agricultural research and education in Hubei and even in the Central and Southern China region.
