Six hundred and forty-eight Roman (F1) Puiletswere randomly allocated 'o nine treatments and arranged in a 3×3 factorial to determine the effects of three levels of di-etary calcium (2. 75. 3. 75 and 4. 25%) and three levels of dietary available phosphorous (0. 30, 0. 40 and0. 50% ) on eggshell quality and tibia weight, tibia breaking strength, tibia ash of pullets during peak production. food consumption increased as dietary calcium or phospho rousincreased. Increasing dietary calcium aroused a slight significant increase in egg specific gravity , but dietery phosphorous had no significant effect on egg specific gravity. Calcium and peospuorous levels did not significantly effectegg puoction , body weight or phospho-rous. Ionized calcium incressed significantly as dietary calcium increased. yibia breading strength. tibia weight, tibia asd increasedsignificanrly with increasing dietary calcium. Di-etary phosPhorous had no significant effect on these parameters. However, where 2. 75% cal-cium was fed, reducing dietary phosphorous significantly decreased tibia weight and tibia ashcontent.
