世界上第一只体细胞克隆动物——多利的降生 ,打破了人们的一个传统观念 ,那就是多少年来人们一直认为植物体细胞具有全能性而动物体细胞则没有全能性。克隆技术是目前生物技术领域研究的热点之一 ,其科学意义和应用价值重大 ,本文主要以克隆技术为着眼点 ,综述了克隆技术分类、研究进展、存在的问题 ,并对其应用前景展开了讨论

摘  要:
A brief account is given of early attempts to clone animals by transferring cells( nuclei) of preimplantation embryos into enucleated oocytes, zygotes or blastomeres. This is followed by a brief review of recent success using adult somatic cells: mammary gland cells for sheep, muscle cells for cattle and cumulus cells for mice. Somatic nuclear transfer offers new and exciting opportunities in many areas of research and biotechnology. However the field as a whole is still in its infancy, with continuing inefficiencies in the process proving many early expectations. Key problems hindering further progress are addressed.
