The history, ecology and culture of Lion Type Southern Anhui Spotted Pig were summarized.Meanwhile, the external characteristics, the meat quality, the testing methods and the breeding way have been reviewed. Finally, the influence of Chinese lion type pigs on the international pork market has been emphasized.
