Through the empirical investigation of 500 agricultural scientists and technicians, the relationship between leadership styles and delayed gratification, the innovation of scientific research were analyzed. Results showed that, different leadership style would affect different innovation behavior of scientists and technicians, the transformational leadership style would be more likely to promote the originality innovation behavior of scientific research personnel, and transactional leadership style would be more likely to promote the imitative innovation behavior of scientific research personnel.
