The Division of Management and Planting Species in Diebu Forest

In the forest of Diebu county, the annual cutting-area was about 1700 hectares, the annual regeneration area of cutting-blank was about 1400 hectares, the annual afforestation area was about 500 hectares. After the considerable area of primitive forests such as Abies faxoniana, Picea wilsonii, Picea purpurea forest were cut up, the nursery stock of Picea apesrata had been used to regeneration and planting. Since theunproper species had been selected, reserve rate of Picea as perata plantation was lower and rust disease was serious, therefore it was difficult to establish a woods for timber. Replacing excellent species with inferiority had beena common problem in every forestry farm of the forest. There are more than 10 excellent species for management, more than 10 accessory species and 5 precious planting species. Scientifically carrying out the division of management and planting species, breeding and popularizing excellent native species, seeking for the law by that primitive forests distributed in different region and microstrand, planting mixed forest in groups, optimizing forest reserves would be neceessary measures to develop the forestry of Diebu county, and to ensure the hills green forever and the forest reserves inexhaustible.
