摘 要:
[Objective] The paper aimed to find out attraction of different parts of pine trees,in order to screen more attractive baits. [Method]The olfactory response and feeding preference of Coptotermes formosanus to three kinds of pine trees and chemical compositions of various materials were studied systematically.[Result]Olfactory response of C. formosanus to Pinus massoniana,P. yunnanensis and P. elliottii were observed at different parts. The feeding rates of C. formosanus on xylem at the base of trunk and xylem at the top of trunk of P. elliottii were the highest of 22.277% and 33.163%,respectively. The selectivity rate of olfactory response of C. formosanus was associated with cellulose, protein, total sugar and amino acids contents of pine trees, while feeding rate had significantly positive correlation with crude fiber content of pine trees. [Conclusion] C. formosanus presents olfactory response to pine trees, which is associated with cellulose, protein, oleoresin, total sugar and amino acid of materials. The preference of C. formosanus to pine trees is closely related to their crude fiber contents.
