To investigate the protective effects of Dracocephalum Moldavica L. total flavonoids(TFDM) in the aspect of mitochondria against Myocardial Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury(MIRI). MIRI model was induced by ligating of anteriordescending of left coronary artery in rats. Infarct size were observed by Evans Blue- TTC staining and concentration of ATP of myocardial were measured. The ultrastructure of mitochondria were observed by electron microscopic and activity of mitochondria were measured. Compared with the I/R group, the TTC staining revealed that the degree of myocardial infarction reduced significantly of TFDM groups, the levels of ATP of myocardium were raised by TFDM, also TFDM have protected the ultrastructure of mitochondria. Meanwhile, TFDM showed significantly increase in the effect of activity of mitochondria(P<0.05 orP<0.01).TFDM had protective effect about myocardium and mitochondria.
