非洲象的正强化行为训练探讨

摘  要：
动物的正强化训练是现代动物园中的一项重要工作,是完成非麻醉采血、口腔检查等兽医诊疗及主动串笼等饲养操作的基础,并可有效提升动物的福利。考虑到象在饲养、诊治中的特殊性,以及圈养象目前存在的足部疾病以及社群关系缺失等福利问题,正强化训练在象的饲养管理中发挥重要作用。2016年6月至今,太原动物园开展了1只雄性亚成体的非洲象(Loxodonta africana)的正强化训练工作。主要包括为完成足部护理开展的3种抬脚训练,张嘴、触摸耳部、侧身触摸腹部3项日常诊疗训练,以及随目标棒移动定位、后退、鼻子上下3项方便日常饲养操作的训练内容。本文对相关训练内容、训练目的及训练进度进行了总结,旨在为同行业内相关的动物正强化训练工作提供参考借鉴。

摘  要：
Positive reinforcement training is an important practice in modern zoos. It helps to complete the non-anesthesia blood collection,oral examination and to carry out other veterinary clinical procedures. It can also be helpful in active cage changing. It is an effective method for enhancing the welfare of captive animals. Considering the difficulties of keeping elephants and their welfare problems relating to foot disease and lack of social communication,positive reinforcement training should play an essential role in elephant husbandry. Since June 2016,the Taiyuan Zoo has carried out a positive training session of a male sub-adult African elephant( Loxodonta africana),and mainly includes 3 kinds of foot lifting training,3 items for veterinary treatment with oral examination,ear and sideway touching,as well as 3 common husbandry trainings,viz. targeting,moving backward and nose up/down. Here we summarize relevant training items, the training purpose,and shaping progress,aiming to provide reference information for related training practice at other zoos.
