Study on tourist behavior at Qibao ancient town based on the combination of GVT and VEP

Tourist behavior is the interaction between its inner demand and scenic resources.Grasping the behavior and interest of tourists is an effective means to improve the tourism quality of scenic spots.Taking Qibao ancient town as an example,the tourist GPS visitor tracking(GVP) and the visitor employed photography(VEP) are combined to analyze the tourist route,stopping points and photography data.Results show that due to the heterogeneous distribution of ancient town layout and tourism resources,the frequency of route tours shows local high agglomeration and long tail characteristics.The stopping point of tourists is affected by factors such as changes in space and style,and population density.Tourists' photography interest is affected by the quality and cultural connotation of the ancient town's landmarks,planning and layout.For Qibao Ancient Town,tourists are more interested in the elements of the Jiangnan water town and local traditional cultural elements.The distribution of important landmarks determines the changes in tourists' interest in photography.The spatial distribution differences of high-frequency paths,stopping points,and photography interest are explained.The combination of GVT and VEP realizes the integration of tourists' subjective feeling expression and objective behavior observation,which provides a new perspective and theoretical support for the development and construction of ancient town tourism.
