基于拓扑关系的STL文件格式研究

摘  要:
STL格式文件是快速成型技术默认的一种标准文件格式,多数CAD软件都支持STL格式。它是由一系列散乱的空间三角形序列组成,提取拓扑关系困难,给后续的处理(例如网格精简,网格缺陷检测等)带来了一定的困难。本文在分析空间三角网格拓扑关系的基础上,提出了优化拓扑信息的存储方案,能在尽量少的存储空间上建立尽量多的拓扑信息,由此得到了一种新的基于拓扑关系的STL文件格式——TSL格式,该格式可以取代现有的STL文件格式。

摘  要:
STL files have become the de facto standard input data of rapid prototyping. It is constructed with a series of triangles. And it hasn't topological information about triangles that could make trouble for the later operation, such as mesh simplification and mesh errors detection. In this paper, the topological information of triangle mesh was analyzed and a opinion of the optimization of topological information storage was proposed. A new STL file presentation, named TSL file format, was proposed. In this presentation, topological information about triangles and vertexes were accessed.
