运用USMAC格式著录西文期刊更名问题的探讨

摘要：

西文期刊是各地高校图书馆非常重视的一种西文文献资源。随着科学技术的不断发展,交叉学科不断涌现,使得西文期刊的更名现象十分频繁和普遍。刊名的变更使西文编目人员深感棘手,也给读者检索带来困难。而刊名变化的著录是西文期刊编目重点,它的详尽著录可为读者检索不同时期的同一期刊提供多个检索点。本文结合多年USMARC著录工作实践,就西文期刊刊名变更的著录问题进行分析与探讨。

摘要：

Western periodicals are considered as a kind of important western language document among academic libraries.In recent years,with the development of science and technology,the name variation of western periodicals becomes a common phenomenon,which makes cataloguing personnel puzzled and the readers uneasy to retrieval.Because of the importance of name variation cataloguing in the whole periodical cataloguing process,this article discusses specific cataloguing methods of western periodicals according to many years of USMARC cataloguing work practice.
