In order to understand the current situation of soil-transmitted parasitic infection in goat farms in Fuzhou, 60 sick and dead goats from Fuzhou area were subjected to the detections for Haemonchus contortus, Trichostrongylus orientalis, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Gongylonema pulchrum, Osteragia circumcinta and Cryptosporidium. The results showed that 45 of the 60 dead goats were found to have Haemonchus contortus infection, the detection rate was 75%; 5 Trichostrongylus orientalis infection, the detection rate was 8.3%; 2 Trichostrongylus colubriformis infection, the detection rate was 3.3%; 2 Cryptosporidium infection, the detection rate was3.3%; no infections of Gongylonema pulchrum and Osteragia circumcinta were detected. In production practice, it is necessary to strengthen the feeding management and the harmless treatment of goat manure, so as to better prevent and control the soil-transmitted parasites in goat farms.
