Arbor tea ecosystem was a unique type of agro-forestry ecosystems developed from traditional agricultural practice, its carbon storage was basic to design and implement REDD+ strategies.Carbon densities of traditional arbor tea ecosystems of the Bulang nationality in Jingmai Mountain and non-tea arbor trees, tea trees, tea saplings, ground cover and the soil of modern terrace tea ecosystems were calculated and compared. The results showed that carbon storage of arbor tea ecosystems was significantly higher than that of terrace tea ecosystems. The order of carbon densities was lightly disturbed arbor tea plantation(470.83 Mg/hm2)>heavily disturbed arbor tea plantation(350.81 Mg/hm2)>terrace tea plantation(239.99 Mg/hm2).Carbon sink of arbor tea plantation was mainly contributed by non-tea arbor trees and old tea trees.Tea saplings and groundcover accounted for a small proportion of total carbon storage but were important to ecosystem restoration and biomass accumulation.
