This experiment was conducted to study the effect of different levels of dietary energy restriction on blood biochemical parameters and endocrine indexes in Arbor Acres(AA) broiler breeders. A total of 240 Arbor Acres(AA) broiler breeders(27 weeks of age), which were healthy, and roughly the same age and similar body weight, were selected and randomly divided into four groups with six replicates, 10 broiler breeders per replicate. The dietary energy levels included the control group with the basal diet and the daily energy levels of 80%(Ⅲ), 70%(Ⅱ) and 50%(Ⅰ) of the control group. During the experimental period, all the groups were fed the same amount, but energy restriction every day. The experiment ended at 40 weeks old of broiler breeders, and the blood biochemical parameters and endocrine indexes of broiler breeders were determined.(1) The results of blood biochemical parameters showed that the contents of triglyceride in groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ in serum of broiler breeders were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05), and the content in group Ⅰ was significantly higher than that in group Ⅱ; high density lipoprotein and low density lipoproteinin in serum of each energy restriction group were reduced significantly(P<0.05), and the content in group Ⅰ was significantly lower than that in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ(P<0.05); glucosecontents in serum of each energy restriction group were significantly increased(P<0.05). The contents of the total protein in group Ⅰ in serum were reduced significantly(P<0.05). Albumin contents in serum of each energy restriction group were reduced significantly(P<0.05), and the content in group Ⅰ was significantly lower than that in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ(P<0.05).(2) The results of endocrine indexes showed that the contents of three iodine thyroid original acid in serum of each energy restriction group were significantly increased(P<0.05), and the content in group Ⅰ was significantly lower than that in groupsⅡ and Ⅲ(P<0.05); the contents of thyroxine in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ were significantly increased(P<0.05).The growth hormone levels in groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ were significantly increased(P<0.05). The contents of insulin and insulin-like growth factor in serum of each energy restriction group were significantly increased(P<0.05), and the content of insulin-like growth factor in group Ⅲ was significantly higher than that in other groups(P<0.05). The contents of Leptin in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ were significantly increased(P<0.05), and the content in group Ⅲ was significantly higher than that in group Ⅱ(P<0.05).Estradiol in serum of each energy restriction was significantly increased(P<0.05), and the content in group Ⅰ was significantly higher than that in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ(P<0.05). In summary, dietary energy restriction of broiler breeders could decrease the contents of proteins, increase the contents of glucose and endocrine hormone indexes, and the 80% energy group was best suited.
