摘 要：
Water pavilion theater of Yijin Lane in Fuzhou city is a typical private garden,which epitomizes the characteristics of classical gardens of Fuzhou. This paper explores the landscape design techniques and characteristics of water pavilion theater, through the analysis of spacial sequence, landscape layout and architectural elements of the garden,and summarizes the three characteristics of the garden's design:( 1)contrasting with the spacial organization and affording wide view in a small confined space;( 2) displaying the ingenuity with the proper application of the original forms of materials;( 3) exhibiting the distinctive regional features with the heritage as reference. This paper analyzes the landscape design method of water pavilion theater in order to inspire the construction of the small scale courtyard.
