P.mutuurella Blesz.

摘  要:
Chinese species of the genus Pareromene Osthelder described by Bleszynski (1965) were based mainly upon specimens collected by Hone from Zhejiang, Yunnan, Sichuan and Guangdon, China. Altogether eight species were recorded, (i.e., P. co-pernici Blesz., P. electro, Blesz., P. ramona Blesz., P. nosanna Blesz., P. rosanoides Blesz., P. omeishani Blesz., P. parthenie Blesz. P. subalbilinealis Blesz.), but nothing was known so far from the Tibet plateau.Recent studies of specimens of Pareromene from our collections, we discovered a species collected in 1974 by Mr. F. S. Huang of our Institute from expedition to Tibet that is new to science. Type specimen is kept in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica.Pareromene tibetensis sp. nov. (figs. 1, 2)Wing span 13mm. Labial palpi dark ochreous in colour, about 1.5 times of head length, with third joint porrect. Head pale yellow, thorax and abdomen ochreous. Frons rounded. Antennae pale yellow. Ground colour of forewing pale yellow. Basal two third with dark ochreous brown band extended from inner arjea, narrowed distally into three thin lines. Inner transverse line triangularly shaped and dark ochreous brown in colour, Outer transverse line same as Inner transverse line. Subterminal line yellow. Posterior terminal region with three dark black spots. Apical area yellow. Cilia ochreous. Hindwing white and without maculations. Cilia white.Male genitalia (figs. 3, 4). Uncus tapering and narrowly pointed. Gnathos rather expanded and tapering distally. Tegumen smooth, triangular in shape. Juxta plate heavily sclerotized and narrowly expanded, with a heel elevated as seen from above and as a suboval plate from lateral view. Valva smooth and narrow. Costal region of which much sclerotized distally into an elongated horny ending in the shape of a tapering prong. Aedeagus slender, with rows of splinter cornuti as shown in figure 3b.Female not known. The structure of male genitalia of this new species is very closely related to that of P. eichhorni Gaskin from Hydrographer mountain of East New Guinea, when compared with the shape and structure of the valva. However, it can be separated easily from the latter by relative specialized shape of juxta plate and aedeagus as well as the colour pattern of forewing. In P. tibetensis sp. nov. both sides of the juxta plate are much narrowed with an elevated heel from middle, whilst in P. eichhorni the juxta plate is heart-shaped. The width of aedeagus of P. tibetensis sp. no,v. is evenly expanded, whilst in P. eichhorni it is slender tapering instead.Holotype ♂, Cuonale, Tibet, China (lat. 28 N. long. 92 E.). Altitute 2500 M. 8 August 1974. F. S. Huang. Genitalia C405.
