本文主要探讨了兰州地区在清代嘉庆年间由于砂田和水车的出现而使棉花作物得以试种成功,但由于诸多原因,棉花的种植在兰州最终废止,笔者对其各种原因探讨后认为社会经济原因是导致兰州地区棉花种植废止的最重要原因。

摘  要：
This article mainly discusses the history that cotton was planted successfully with the help of sand field and Chiese wheel in Lanzhou area in the period of Jiaqing Emperor of the Qing dynasty.However,for many reasons,cotton planting was finally abolished in Lanzhou.The social and economic reasons,the author believes,are the most important factor that directly leads to the abolishment of cotton planting in Lanzhou.
