一例疑似灭鼠药二次中毒雕鸮的救护

摘  要:
我们对1只处于昏迷状态的野生雕鸮进行了救护。经过临床检查和实验室检查发现,动物体况良好,体温、心率以及肌酐、尿素氮、转氨酶、碱性磷酸酶、总蛋白、白蛋白等8项血液生化指标均无异常,排除了外伤、有机磷和氨基甲酸酯类农药和有机氟类、磷化锌类、毒鼠强等剧毒鼠药中毒的可能性,初步判断为抗凝血类或硫脲类鼠药二次中毒。按照不明毒物中毒发生时的一般治疗方法进行治疗,护理中最大限度减少对动物的刺激。治疗2 d后开始采食活的实验小鼠,9 d后完全康复,并成功放归野外。放归前,分析了14项血液生化指标。这一案例为雕鸮的救护提供经验,并积累了雕鸮血液生化的数据。

摘  要:
We report here a case of rescue of an unconscious wild eagle owl(Bubo bubo).Clinical examination showed that the owl was in good body condition with clean plumage and carina index4.No abnormality was observed for body temperature,heart rate,or any of 8 hematological biochemical indices including concentration of creatinine,urine nitrogen,aminotransferase,alkaline phosphatase,total protein and albumin.We excluded the possibilities of injury,toxicosis of organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides,and hypertoxic rodenticides containing organic fluorides,zinc phosphides or tetramine.We surmised a secondary toxicosis of anticoagulant or thioureas rodenticides when the owl preyed on poisoned animals.The subsequent treatment based on the analysis was according to the routine therapy of toxicosis of unidentified poisons,with minimized operational disturbance during nursing care.The owl was able to prey on live experimental mice 4 days after the treatment.It was released after complete recovery at 9 days post- treatment.Fourteen hematological biochemical indices were tested prior to release.This case adds clinical experience to future rescue practice of poisoned eagle owl as well as hematological biochemical data of a healthy bird.
