NOTES OF SOME BLISSINE BUGS(HEMIPTERA: LYGAEIDAE)ON BAMBOOS FROM CHINA

1. Macropes slateri Zheng et Wang, sp. nov. (fig. 1) Head black, shining, length 0.4—0.6, width 0.7—0.76. Vertex coarsely punctured. Antennae blackish brown, apical half of segment Ⅳ black, antennal segment length 0.17:0.33—0.36:0.35—0.36:0.62—0.66. Rostrum extending to posterior margin of prosternum. Pronotum black and shining, flat, length 1.26—1.3, width 1.3—1.47; lateral margin angled subapically, somewhat "square-shouldered", basal half almost parallel-sided (fig. 1); basal margin evenly and moderately concave, callar area slightly depressed, punctured transverse impression broad, far posterad of the center of pronotum. Scutellum pruinose, leaving only the distal half of the median elevation shining. Coloration of fore-wing typical of the femoralis-group, membrane hyaline, with only the foremost small triangular basal area opaque white. Wings extending to the apical part of 7th abdominal tergum. Claval commissure length 0.3—0.4, corium length 1.7—1.9, clavus apex to corium apex 0.9—1.01, corium apex to membrane apex 1.1—1.26. Legs reddish brown to blackish brown, fore femora black. Thoracic sternum blck, shining, metapleura (except the acetabula of hind legs and hind margin) and hind margin of mesopleura pruinose. Abdomen chestnut brown, gradually darkened basally. Connexivum exposed. Width abdomen 1.36—1.63. Body length 5.2—6.06. Holotype ♂ & paratype 1♀, Yunnan (Mengla), 1979. Ⅸ. 25., Zou Huangrguang collected from bamboo. A member of femoralis group sensu Slater et al (1969), allied to privus Distant, but body longer, somewhat more robust, pronotum differently shaped (length:width=1.26:1.3), and with a light-colored membrane. Body larger than harring-tonae Slater et al. Pronotum not so heavily built and body a little more slender in comparison with robustus Zheng & Zou and bambusiphilus Zheng. 2. Macropes maai Slater et Wilcox Found on Phyllostachys viridis (Young) McClure (Zhejiang Prov.). 3. Macropes harringtonae Slater, Ashlock et Wilcox Host plant: Pleioblastus amarus (Keng) Keng f., overwintering in adult stage (Zhejiang Prov.). 4. Iphicrates spinicaput (Scott) (new record to China) Collected on Indocalamus migoi (Nakai) Keng f.. (Zhejiang Prov.). 5. Dimorphopterus spinolae (Signoret) Taken on Phyllostachys viridis (including some brachypterus individuals) (Zhejiang Prov.).
