Taking Nomuraea rileyi and Bacillus sp.as the target pathogens,an actinomyces strain BS-112 was isolated from soil in the forest land of Mountain Tai.This strain showed strong antagonistic activity against various silkworm pathogens.Based on its morphologic, culture, physiological and biochemical characteristics, and components of its cell wall as well as 16S rDNA sequence,BS-112 was identified as a Streptomyces hygroscopicus. It had a broad inhibition spectrum. The antifungal and antibacterial substances were resistant to high temperature and relatively stable under acidic or basic environment. The minimum inhibition concentration of extracellular crude antibacterial extracts against Bacillus sp.and N.rileyi was 19.53 and 78.13 μg/mL,respectively.And the minimum bactericidal concentration was 78.13 and 156.25 μg/mL,respectively.These results indicate that the obtained strain has satisfactory bactericidal effect under relatively low concen-tration.
