摘  要:
The drought resistance mechanism of C. album was studied to provide a theoretical basis for artificial cultivation of the plant. Seedlings grown to 6-leaf-stage were subjected to drought (osmotic stress treatment with PEG6000 at 0, 5, 10 and 20%). Different physiological indices of the third and fifth function leaves in the upper part of the plant were determined after drought treatment for 0, 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 days. Relative water content (RWC) was reduced less under 5% PEG6000 than the other treatments, while under 10% concentration, the RWC decreased to 62% on the fifth day and leaves began to wither. RWC decreased to 61.9% under 20% concentration on the third day, and leaves withered; and RWC decreased to 48.6% on the 7th day (leaves dried and turned yellow). The proline contents in seedling leaves under 5, 10 and 20% PEG6000 were 7.64, 10.9 and 29.4 times higher than in the control on the 7th day.
