The article introduced the sewage purification mechanism in the bacterial-algal symbiotic system.It also summarized the characteristics and problems of bacterial-algal symbiotic sewage purification system,such as immobilized bacteria-algae wastewater treatment system and periphyton wastewater treatment system. In the end,the author also looked into the future trends of its development.
