摘 要：
Geographical information systems (GIS) are increasingly beingapplied to surface and subsurface flow and transport modeling issues.In this paper, more attentions are focused on the methodology andstrategies of coupling GIS with non-point pollution models.Suggestions are made on how to best integrate current available orselected nitrogen leaching models, especially in the aspect ofprogramming development so as to effectively and flexibly address thespecific task. The new possibilities for dealing with non-pointpollution problems at a regional scale are provided in the resultingintegrated approach, including embedding grid-based GIS components inmodels.
