The process,function and adaptation of xanthophyll cycle were introduced in this paper.It was emphasized about new research achievement of relation between antenna protein,membrance lipids MGDG and xanthophyll cycle in recent ten years.The theory of xanthophyll cycle mechanism was also presented.
