Aquatic insects are belonged to arthropoda insecta. To study the resource situation of the aquatic insect and the water quality condition in Fanjingshan, the field investigation in Fanjingshan Macaohe was carried out in October 2013. A total of 419 and 13 species were collected, belonging to 6 orders, 10 families, 12 genera. Ephemeroptera, Coleoptera and Trichoptera were the three dominant groups and the individual amount of aquatic insects accounted for 95.94% of the total.Family-level biotic index, Shannon-Weiner diversity index, and two kinds of bioassessment of water quality method were used to evaluate the water quality of the Macaohe. Results showed that the water quality was clean. It will provide a reference for protecting the biodiversity of the Fanjingshan.
