Diprionidae of Symphyta(Hymenoptera)is mainly contaminated with larvae, and the damage rate of conifers is more than 80%, which has brought serious economic losses to forestry production. In this study, the effects of the stand, slope locations, and elevations on the population density of Pine Sawfly larvae were studied using the sampling method, the correlation between the population density of Pine Sawfly larvae and the environmental factors was analyzed. The results showed that the density of Pine Sawfly larvae in pure coniferous forests was significantly higher than that of coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests. There was a significant positive correlation between altitude and the density of larvae. The population density of Pine Sawfly larvae in shady slope was significantly higher than that in sunny slope. This study provides a theoretical basis for the comprehensive management of Pine Sawfly.
