Taking the Jinyan 18 oats as the test crop, Lathyrus quinquenervius(Miq.)Litv stubble in field decreasing nitrogen in the field experiment were carried out in the northwestern Shanxi for 2 years. The results showed that Lathyrus quinquenervius(Miq.)Litv stubble in field could increase the nitrogen content in soil and oat grain yield, and the number of per hectare Lathyrus quinquenervius.stubble providing nitrogen for soil was 13.8 kg/hm2. Compared with no stubble treatments applied 100% N, nitrogen partial productivity of Lathyrus quinquenervius stubble in field treatments applied 80% N increased 2.72-7.66 kg/kg. In a word, when the organic fertilizer was not be applied, planting green manure in dryland was an important measure to improve soil fertility.
