From may to July 2018,the field cutting experiment of(Medicago variamartin.cv.CaoyuanNo.3)was carried out in the herbage experimental field of Inner Mongolia agricultural university. The root powder with the main component of auxin was used to treat grassland no.3 mixed alfalfa. The experiment was set as 3 different immersion time(2 h,5 h,10 h)and 4 different auxin solution concentrations(100 ppm,200 ppm,500 ppm,0),and no processing was added as the control.A total of 15 combinedprocessing. The results showed that No.7 combination treatment had the highest survival rate and rooting rate, with 73.3%survival rate and 95.4%rooting rate.At this time, the auxin solution concentration was 200 ppm,and the cuttings were soaked for 5 h.Therefore, the most suitable auxin concentration for grassland no.3 mixed alfalfa cutting was 200 ppm,and the most suitable soaking time was 5 h.This experiment can provide some reference for the application of cutting technology in Hohhot.
