中小型图书馆在中国高校图书馆中所占数量较多,具有学科专业性强、场馆小、预算少、人员不足等特点。通过建设特色学科馆藏,形成突出本校学科专业特色、具有一定规模、结构比较完整的馆藏资源优势,既是满足本校特色学科发展的需要,也是服务于高校图书馆文献资源保障体系的需要。

Small and medium-sized library of engineering college has a large number in university libraries. It is characterized by strong discipline, small place and insufficient budget and staff. The featured collection building with some scales and more complete, could both to meet the needs of the development of the featured discipline of the university, but also the needs of university libraries resources systems.
