Development of sulphuryl fluoride (SO2F2), Techniques and equipments of fumigation, a comprehensive study.

This paper presents the toxicity study on sulfuryl fluoride to pests, plant seeds and the toxicological study on sulfuryl fluoride.The residual content of F+ at 30～50g/48～72h/room temp. for wheat is 0.0026～0.004mg/kg at 50g/48h～72h/room temp., for corn is 0.0005～0.006mg/kg at 48h/room temp., for rice is 0.002～0.005mg/kg. at 48h/room temp.. The content in fumigated fluor is higher. The sorption is lower than methy bromide and the desorption is very swift than methy bromide.Sulphuryl Fluoride (SO2F2) has been developed and applied in agriculture, forestry, foreign trade, quarantine, archives, textiles and buildings etc. No harmful effect is found upon the germination of fumigated grain, cotton, vegetable and forest seeds. No harmful effect is found on archives, textiles, rubber, melts (it contains golden) etc.Besides, The circulatefumigating technique of methyl bromide to stored grain pests in silo bin as well as ZX300 vacuum fumigator, CKZX1500 vacuum fumigator, PD1,2 pest treating machine have been developed.
