摘  要:
Leaf analysis from orchards of Mt. Liangshan region showed that the incidence and severity of boron deficiency tend to be negatively correlated with leaf boron contents. Orchards with severe symptoms of boron deficiency are not only low in leaf boron but also low in leaf nitrogen, phosporus, calcium, magnesium and zinc. The degree of deficiency of these elements was significantly correlated with boron deficiency. Spray of 0.4% borax solution at full bloom only increased leaf boron content, while soil application of boron tends to increase leaf boron, iron, nitrogen and calcium, and decrease leaf magnesium and zinc. It is supposed that part of the nutritionalproblems in nitrogen and calcium of apple trees in Mt. Liangshan yellow earth region were due to lack of boron which decreased the uptake of these two nutrients. But, the lack of zinc might be caused mainly by the low content of available zinc in the soil.
