Upgrading and Reconstruction Design of Natural Education in the South District of Daguan Park,Kunming

The design for the upgrading and transformation of the south area of Daguan Park in Kunming is with the theme of ′nature education with healthy waterscape as the main body′, and builds a harmonious and symbiotic ecological environment of ′people, gulls, and water′ in accordance with the principle of ′people-oriented and close to nature′. The design is divided into three levels: the protective use of the Yuyuan area based on the respect for the history and culture in the park; Setting up an overpass to connect the southern area of Daguan Park and Daguan Park itself, restoring and improving its function as a base for protection and education of Dianchi Lake; Renovating the Wujiadui wetland, ecological floating islands and gull viewing platforms to protect the red-headed gulls, biodiversity and the integrity of the biological chain. Through urban park landscape design, the designer integrates the concept of green and healthy life into people′s lives, conveys the theme of healthy, ecological, and sustainable human settlements to people, and realizes the goal of nature education in harmony with park scenery, healthy life and ideal human settlements.
