The Design and Pruning Test of Effort-saving Mulberry Branch Shear with Double Levers and Double Bends

By taking effort-saving and easy-handling as the design objectives,we have developed an effort-saving mulberry branch shear with double levers and double bends.Compared with the current common mulberry branch shears,it has the following structural and functional features.Firstly,length of the power arms of anvil knife and cutting knife is increased and gear wheel is used for the second lever of double levers to achieve effort-saving effect.Secondly,the two knives are bent horizontally,being suitable for pruning branches of both high-and low-trunk mulberry trees.Thirdly,end of the knife is designed to prevent slipping off so that the shear is easily held to do the pruning job.Finally,in order to reduce the flare angle,the straight anvil knife handles have been changed into bending inside,and the distance between the two handles has been shortened so that the operator can prune and collect the branches with over-waist handle.Such designed mulberry branch shear is effort-saving and easy-operated.It is fit for use in small scale production or by old and weak workers in mulberry garden.Its working efficiency is 1.5 to 2 times to that of the common mulberry branch shear,and the cuts on mulberry branches are smooth and flat.
