Experience of Canadian Grasslands National Park in Construction and Management and Its Enlightenment

Grassland is the largest terrestrial ecosystem in China,but the development process of grassland nature reserves is slow.China is building a new system of protected natural areas with national parks as the main part,while the pilot construction of national grassland natural park for protecting grassland ecosystem is in its early stage.This paper reviews the process that Canada sets up Grasslands National Park,and introduces the management experience of the park,i.e.,implementing zoning management,adopting the circular management mode of tracking and monitoring,gradually improving the legislation for grassland protection,perfecting the mechanisms for public participation and aboriginal culture protection,and expanding tourism projects while enhancing ecological protection.Its enlightenment on the establishment and management of national park pilots and national grassland natural park in China is concluded,with a view to providing references for the improvement of grassland nature reserve system.
