摘  要：
Bird banding, as the simplest and most effective way to studythe migration pattern of birds, is widely used in the world, and hasplayed an important role. It has become an international research net-work in recent two years. From the collected messages of bird banding,some regularities could be found such as bird migration routes, altitude,speed, distance, as well as population dynamics and life-span etc. Bythis way, some profitable data could be utilized for protecting endangeredbird, for using bird resources rationally, for attract?ng merit birds, foravoiding bird's striking aircraft, for preventing epidemic diseases fromspreading, and for other biological researches. At present, near one billiondollars are annually applied and ten thousand people are engaged in birdand network. Millions of migrate bird were banded and a lot of birdshave been recollected. Radiolocation, satellite and planes are used to ob-serve brids migration in some countries. The paper also introduced thepresent conditions of bird bending in Europe, America and Japan, as wellas the achievements and inadequacy of bird banding in China.
