瑟氏泰勒焦虫病在国内鲜有报导,据说铁岭有过发现(未见正式报告),此外其他地区是否有本病的存在,尚缺乏调查研究。1962年我们在贵州省进行牛血孢子虫病疫源地研究中,除了在当地的牛只体中发现有双芽焦虫Piroplasma bigeminum (Smith et Kilbourne,1893),牛巴贝斯焦虫Babesiella bovis(Babes,1888),柯契卡巴贝斯焦虫Babesiella colchica(Jakimov,1927)及突变泰勒焦虫

摘  要:
The present paper records some observations on Theileriosis sergenti of dairy cattle in Kweichow Province,South-Western China, and procedures undertaken to control the disease.Morphological descriptions of Theileria sergenti are presented, with 3 photoes.There are found two culminations of the disease in a year, the first one being by the end of July, and the second one, the end of September.Only one species of tick,Boophilus microplus,was found on the cattle during the seasons when the disease prevailed, the ticks showing two rises in a year, similar to that of the causative agent. The authors presumed, therefore, that Boophilus microplus might be the vector of Theileriosis sergenti in Kweichow.The said disease has been found mostly attacking calves under two years of age while adult cattle rarely show symptoms.The incubation period was determined to be over 40 days.Clinical signs: A body temperature of 39-39.5℃,occasionally reaching 40℃. has often been recorded.Emaciation,anemia,icterus and enlargement of superficial lymph glands have been found not unusually.Erythrocyte count might drop to 1-3 million/cmm, but total leukocyte count rise to 10,000-16,000/cmm.sometimes even to 20,000/cmm.Blood has been found to clot slowly and light-colored.Acaprine,acriflavine and rivanol have been tried for treatment with rather low efficiency.A plan of controlling the disease has been suggested by the authors for the benifit of the dairy farm.
