Effects of base application of silicon/selenium fertilizer combined with leaf surface cont rol on bioavailability of cadmium-lead in farmland and cumulative resistance of rice

摘  要：
Applying fertilizers containing silicon (Si) or selenium (Se) in soil and foliar regulation can inhibit the transfer of heavy metal ions from soil to crops. However, it is currently unclear how Si or Se affects the bioavailability of cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) in farmland, thereby preventing the transfer of Cd and Pb to rice (Oryza sativa L.). In this study, through field experiment, seven treatments were set up: without Si/Se (CK), Si/Se base application (Si-1/Se-1), base application + topdressing (Si-2/Se-2), and base application + topdressing + foliar spraying (Si-3/Se-3). The results indicated that compared to the CK, rice yield increased by 3.94% to 14.56% under each treatment, with the most significant increase observed in the Si-3 and Se-3 treatments. Additionally, the concentration of Cd in brown rice decreased by 15.42% to 51.55%, while Pb decreased by 16.49% to 47.18%. Except for the Si-1, all treatments were below the limit values specified in Chinese GB 2762-2022 regulations. Furthermore, they exhibited the capacity to diminish the accumulation of Cd and Pb in brown rice, along with reducing the transfer coefficients of Cd and Pb from straw to brown rice, effectively impeding the translocation of these elements to the brown rice. The effect of Se fertilizer was better than Si fertilizer in inhibiting the transfer of Cd and Pb to brown rice and reducing the enrichment factors of Cd and Pb in brown rice. At the same time, the application of Si and Se could increase the above-ground Si and Se concentrations of rice, respectively, and the Se concentration of brown rice under Se-3 treatment increased by 77.56%, reaching the Se enrichment standard of GB/T 22499-2008. The concentration of DTPA-Cd and DTPA-Pb was decreased by Si/Se treatment, and the decreased amplitude of Se-3 treatment reached 25.53% and 22.37%, respectively. All the treatments can reduce the exchangeable and reducible acid states of soil Cd and Pb, and transform them into more stable oxidizable and residual states. This study revealed that the bioavailability of Cd-Pb in soil and the accumulation resistance of rice were significantly impacted by the combination of base application, Se topdressing, and leaf surface control.
