转基因作物的安全性及其评价

摘  要:
转基因作物安全性问题是全球广泛关注和饱受争议的话题。分析了近年来关于转基因作物环境风险评估和食品安全评估的一些综述以及相关研究报道,总体来说,至今尚未发现可以证实转基因技术对人类健康、畜禽动物不安全的案例,少数对转基因食品有毒性的报道最后被证实是由于试验方法或统计方法的错误造成的。但长期种植转基因作物导致的环境风险评估就复杂得多,更难以评价,只能进行长期监测和预防。政府作为决策者必须对转基因作物建立科学的评价、监管体系,并使消费者增强对转基因作物的信任。展望未来,由于新技术的不断产生,"安全转基因技术"有望在某种程度上缓解转基因作物的风险。

摘  要:
The safety of Genetically Modified Crops is a controversial topic in the world. In this paper, the assessment of the environmental risk and food safety of Genetically Modified(GM) crops was reviewed. In general, no significant health risks were found and confirmed scientifically in the commercial GM products. A few reports of toxicity finally were proved to be caused by experimental or statistical errors. But long-term assessment of environmental risk for the GM crops is more complex and difficult. Government as policymaker must establish a scientific evaluation and regulatory system for the GM crops, and enhance the consumers' confidence of the GM crops. In the future, the so-called "safely transgenic technology" will reduce the risk of the GM crops with the constant development of technology.
