摘  要：
理解公众对物种保护的态度差异及其原因,有利于制定更加合理的保护行动方案。针对野生亚洲象保护,本研究于2018年在线收集了505份调查问卷,问卷内容包括受访者对亚洲象的态度、是否赋于亚洲象存在价值、缓解措施成效等。问卷结果显示:尽管受访者对亚洲象的负面态度(31%)多于正面态度(25%),但仍有79%受访者认为应该保护亚洲象;是否赋于亚洲象存在价值、是否遭受亚洲象损害、保险赔偿和预警效果是影响公众对亚洲象态度的关键因子,然而,仅35%受访者认为现行预警是及时的,62%受损者不满意保险赔偿。综上,提升公众赋予亚洲象的存在价值、完善保险赔偿机制、提高监测预警效率可以减少公众对亚洲象的负面态度。

摘  要：
Understanding the attitudes of public toward Asian elephants is essential for developing a sustainable conservation plan. Here, we retrieved 505 questionnaires regarding the attitudes in China in 2018. We found that while the negative attitudes(31%) outweigh the positive(25%), 79% of the respondents hold "we should protect the elephants". "Whether respondent attributes intrinsic value to elephants", "whether respondent incurred elephant-caused damage", and effectiveness of compensation and informing system are the key factors affecting the attitudes. However, only 35% of the respondents hold "the informing is timely", 62% of the victims complain about the compensation. Therefore, improving the value attributed by public and mitigation effectiveness are needed.
