为了缓解农村高小毕业生升学压力,为农村培养有知识、有技术的新型农民,1958年春,江苏省在全国率先创办了农业中学。在中共中央的号召下,在"大跃进"运动的狂热推动下,一场以政治挂帅,依靠群众,大办农业中学的运动席卷全国。农业中学是一种半耕半读性质的民办职业中学,从1958年到1966年,农业中学经历了三次发展和两次调整,最终在"文化大革命"的冲击下消失,给我们留下了深刻的教训。

摘 要：
In order to alleviate the entrance pressure of rural primary school graduates to the middle schools and train farmers into new ones with culture and technology,Jiangsu Province was the first to establish the agricultural middle schools in China in the spring of 1958.To answer the call of the central CPC and stimulated by the fever of the Great Leap Forward,a mass movement of establi-shing agricultural middle schools was launched nationwide in China with politics as the focus.Such schools are vocational ones devoting half of the time to study and the other half to farming.They underwent three developments and two adjustments from 1958 to 1966,and disappeared in the Great Cultural Revolution.The rise and fall of such schools taught us a deep lesson
